Down Cape Chin North to the Bruce Trail - View Map
The Peninsula Bruce Trail Club (PBTC) is one of the nine Bruce Trail Clubs that support the Bruce Trail Association. For more information about the BTA visit the BTA website. In addition to organizing hikes and other activities, we plan and build new trail and we maintain existing trails. From Wiarton to Tobermory the footpaths total over 240 km [includes the main trail (white blazes) + the side trails/access trails (blue blazes)] The PBTC trail is divided into 78 sections for maintenance. Each section is overseen by a Trail Captain and his/her volunteer workers.
The section of the Bruce Trail that runs through the Cape Chin area is full of scenic wonders. Here you will find the "Devil's Monument" a large inland flowerpot or stack which was formed by wave action from a
post-glacial lake 5,500 years ago. In sections the trail runs along the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay, then runs through pristine forests and peaceful glens.
You can also enjoy hiking, snowshoeing or skiing the Bruce trail in winter. Please visit our winter page for more information

Cape Chin Connection Country Inn is located close to the Bruce Trail, and is a popular overnight rest spot for hikers internationally. They participate in the "Home to Home Network" which accommodates hikers from B&B to B&B along the Bruce Trail.
